City of Greenport, N.Y. Skate Park
| The remarkable little village of Greenport, located at the tip of Northfork Long Island has a population of 2000. This community cared enough that they allowed the kids and their parents to build a temporary street course in the baseball field parking lot. The mayor gave residents control over the use of the park and the resonsibility to control the lights. The temporary park was used for a year while the city raised funds to create this permanent park. If they can do it, can't you? |
