X-Games Finals
Toney Hawk pulling the 900 in 1999The X-Games 2000 in San Fransico, Ca. steped things up a notch with the athletes pushing their abilities beyond what is possible or even concievable. Such was the case with the best trick event were Tony Hawk in 1999 pulling the 9000 spin (seen in the photo to the right). Something that has never been pulled off by any other skateboarder before. Another example is in 2000 X-games Best Trick, Bob Burnquist pulling a Fakie 5-0, Fakie Kickflip Out off a grind bar that is three feet above the lip to win this event (seen in Photo below & in an animated sequence here!!!).

Like I said, Bob isn't right

<<<< Bob Burnquist pushed himself beyond what people though was possible with tricks like the one shown above or just burly tricks like this Rock to Fakie on the Bench set up on the deck. Things like this is help driving skateboarding to new hights in reconiction & acceptance to mainstream America.

Another highlight to the X-Games is the Doubles Routine.
Above left is the Texas boys, Mike Crum throwing a KickFlip over
& Chris Gentry's Tail Slide. Above & to the right is a very brave Tony Hawk
