Satellite Beach, FL Municipal Skate Park

Satellite Beach Skatepark

15,000 Sq. feet outdoors, all concrete, with lights. The park has 2 pyramids with curbs, ledges & a handrail, a 6' quater-pipe with a hip and steel coping, 3 bowls- one 5' deep with steel coping, one 6' deep with curb lip & another 5' bowl with pool coping and two hips. This is phase-1 of the skate park. The course was designed as a street area and to allow for the addition of other structures in the future. Phase 2 is not expected anytime soon, so it looks like the park will be left half finished. Although this park is a blast as is, it was designed with open ends for future expansion. At least the kids have this to skate for now.

With the award of the grant, the City Recreation Dept. used the money appropriated for the Skate park. At least the kids did not loose out totally, they have a half finished all concrete park that is extremely fun to skate.
Note: As of September 2000 the City of Satellite Beach has added a nice Pond, Soccer Fields & parking for the fields, a enclosure with a soda machine (for the skatepark)

The construction phase
The final touches to the whipped corner. This corner is fast, steep & challenging, but very fun & adds another level to the park that makes it fun to session. It separates those that are aggressive & those that are not.
