Ripon, Ca

      We didn't get to build this one but we did get to design it. We sent James and Matt to do a presentation with a slide show that blow the city council away. We gave them a design with detailed drawings and spec's. And with a name like Ripon you would exspect no less. It turned out real good and has been the talk of Norther Cal. This 30,000 sq.ft. park has a whole lot of line's with big hip's everywere. Our favorite skaters are Allan Peterson and John Cardial they rip this park to shreds.

Thanks to Thrasher Magazine for doing such a cool write up on the Curt Pernice Skatepark in Ripon, California. Thanks to Thrasher Magazine for the photos that we snaked out of their June 2001 Over Vert & beyond Issue.
         Located south of Sacramento close to Modesto, Ripon has one of the largest public skate parks in California. Not bad for a little town in the middle of nowhere. As Thrasher Magazine wrote,
       "Curt Pernice has a relly nice Skatepark. Located smack dab in the middle of nowhere (near Modesto), Curt's hometown of Ripon now boast possibly the biggest park in California. This 30,000 sq.ft. oasis leaves little to be desired. Tons of Hips, a big vert wall with a channel, and lines galore. How this guy scraped together the cash (400k+) and the talent to produce something of this caliber while cities like Huntington Beach can only put together fenced-in curb cuts is a mystery, but we're sure not complaining. Curt's park didn't require pads on opening day, but chances are at least helmets will be manditory. Do yourself a favor and bring those nasty pads or you might end up ass out. A street course and multi-level pool are also in the works. Way to go, Curt."
