NORTH PORT, FLORIDA
    
      The town of North Port is located in south Sarasota County. With just over 18,000 full time residents, ( lots more in the winter with the Snow Birds in town) this small Gulf coast community recognize the need for modern recreational facilities for their community. They knew that as one of the nations fastest growing new communities that they needed something right for the times & the youths & their parents cried out for a public skate park.
       This concrete facility is 14,500-square-foot and features a street course and a bowl. The park is located across the street from the police station and has a park attendant. A helmet and waiver is required to skate this park. The park is located East of US Hwy. 41 on North Port Blvd.

and had quiet a large turn out.

The Street Course
The street course has a 4' pyramid w/ a 2' ledge and a 3'section w/ flatbar handrail.
There is a 6'6" bank, 5' peninsula, 4' to 5' step up with a 4' gap, 7' wall with 7'6" trannie
with an escalator, 5' & 6' high banks.

The Bowl from the deep end
North Port also has a bowl that is 5' with an escalator up to 7'. The bowl also has two hips, a 900 and a slight hip that is about 22o.
